HOW TO SHARE 316 CONNECT

To Believers Everywhere,

God has a missionary’s heart! He loves everyone and will go to the ends of the earth to reach just one person! You may not realize this, but God’s plan to reach the world with the good news about His Son has always included YOU! You are His number one method for spreading His message!

God wants to use people just like you to share His message. Your involvement is essential. Most people come to faith in Christ because someone was courageous enough to personally explain the gospel to them. 316 Connect is an evangelical tool you can confidently use to share the gospel with people anywhere. The video presents the simple message that God loves all people and anyone who trusts in His Son Jesus receives forgiveness and eternal life.

When showing the video, you don’t have to worry about stumbling over words or leaving anything important out of the message. You can confidently watch the video with others knowing they are hearing the gospel every time!

Here are a few ways you can share 316 Connect with others:

1. The best way to share this video is in person. Place one of the 316 QR stickers on your phone cover. While you’re having lunch with your friend, ASK PERMISSION if you can show them the video. Say something like this, “I’ve been wanting to share something important with you for a while. Would you please scan this QR code and let’s watch this short video together”. If they say “Yes”, choose a quiet place and watch the video.

If they say, “No, not now” try and set up another time when you can view it. If they ask what it’s about, be honest and tell them it’s about how they can CONNECT WITH GOD. Explain to them you’ve done that in the past and you’re hoping they will do that too. Most people will appreciate your concern for them.

Be prepared to stop the video while watching it and discuss the message. When you’ve finished it, ask them if they would like to trust Christ as their Savior. God’s Spirit may have spoken to them, and they may want to receive Christ at that very moment! If not, you can still be confident they heard the gospel and are one step closer to connecting with God!

If the person has questions or objections, that’s not a bad thing! Don’t let that bother you! Objections are usually a sign they are interested in finding the answers to their concerns. Do your best to follow up on the issues mentioned. You might consider bringing someone like a pastor into the conversation to help. Sometimes a good book or website might also help them find the answers they need. Your continued involvement means more than you will ever know. Stay engaged with them during their spiritual journey. Hopefully, they will come to faith in Christ! There is nothing more exciting than seeing a friend or loved one join the family of God!

2. A second way to share 316 Connect is to give a QR sticker to a person as a gift and ask them to watch the film at their convenience. Encourage them to put the sticker in a place they view frequently. If they accept the QR code, then be sure to follow up with them in a reasonable time and discuss it with them. Make yourself available and flexible to watch it on their schedule. While you’re waiting to view the video with them, seek to love them in a godly way and pray for a good follow-up opportunity. 

3. Another way to share 316 Connect is to send a QR sticker along with a personal card or letter to someone special. Be sure and explain what the 316 Connect sticker is about so they’re not caught off guard. Follow up with them and see if they are ready to discuss the video.

4. Share the website / QR code in a small group setting like a Bible study or neighborhood group. Ask people what they thought about the message and if they have any questions. Follow up with those who express an interest.

Consider getting several people to wear the CONNECT shirts to one of these places and flood the area with the message. People are curious! 6. Get your church involved! Seek permission to show the 316 Connect Video during a church event. Plan an outreach event after viewing the video and give stickers to everyone who participates as a worker or guest so they can share the gospel too.

7. Mission Trips! Take a large number of QR stickers with you and give them to everyone you meet.
